PS Plus August 2019 free PS4 games: PlayStation Plus reveal, leaks, predictions, deals

PS Plus subscribers are about to find out the free PS4 games for August 2019.

The next batch of PlayStation Plus free games will be revealed at 4.30pm on July 31.

The games will be available to download less than a week later on August 6, but only if you’re a current PS Plus subscriber.

The PS Plus free games will replace the existing crop of PS4 releases, which include Horizon Chase Turbo and Detroit Become Human.

In the absence of any juicy leaks – and we’ll update the article if we spot any – fans have been having fun predicting what will join the service.

One of the most popular theories is that PES 2019 will finally make its PS Plus debut in August.

The Konami football sim was originally announced for PS Plus in July, but was eventually replaced by Detroit Become Human.

According to a PS Plus prediction post on Reddit, Sony could also introduce Bethesda’s Doom reboot – which would make sense now that the original trilogy is out on PS4.

Sony could also add one of its first-party exclusives to the service, such as The Order: 1886, Shadow of the Colossus, The Last Guardian or Uncharted: The Lost Legacy.

Other predictions include Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor or Shadow of War, Wolfenstein 2 and Resident Evil 7, while Firewatch, Celeste, Alien Isolation, BioShock Collection and Gang Beasts also get a mention.

EA games like Mass Effect Andromeda and Burnout Paradise Remastered are also mentioned, although the recent launch of EA Access makes this seem less likely.

If you’re a lapsed subscriber looking to get back on the PS Plus bandwagon, you can take advantage of a great deal over at CD Keys.

At the time of writing, PS4 owners can grab a 12-month PS Plus subscription from CDKeys for just £37.99. That’s a saving of 24%.

After purchasing the annual subscription, CDKeys will send you a confirmation email with a download link.

After verifying your phone number, you will be sent a pin, which can then be used to access your code.

Once you have the code, just visit the PlayStation Store and select redeem codes.

It’s worth pointing out that this deal is currently only available to fans in the UK, and prices do tend to change pretty quickly.
