Prue Leith sported crutches and a cast on her foot as she headed to a food festival earlier today.

The Great British Bake Off star was spotted hobbling on the crutches during an appearance at The Big Festival, in Oxfordshire.

But the 79-year-old didn’t let the mystery injury bring her down, as she was as colourful as ever at the party.

In true Prue style, she rocked a bright stripy blouse for the day, coupled with navy trousers and red trainers.

And she even gave her newest accessories a makeover, as her crutches were adorned in a rainbow print.

Because why not?

According to the Daily Mail, she is believed to have broken an Achilles tendon, but she didn’t let that stop her from putting on a total show – hosting a cooking demonstration at the festival.

We are not worthy of the professional baker.

Prue is currently gearing up for the latest series of the Great British Bake Off, alongside co-judge Paul Hollywood.

However, while we’ve seen previous contestants putting their blood, sweat and sometimes actual tears into their huge creations, this year might be a little different.

Speaking about the upcoming season, Paul confessed: ‘It’s been interesting to come up with some unusual things this year – the challenges I think have been scaled back a little bit.

‘I thought sometimes we’ve been running away with some of the challenges being too difficult.’

He continued: ‘On series one, people could approach them and make them and want to enjoy making them.

‘But if you make them too difficult people will go not interested, “I was with you right up until that point and then you’ve lost me.”‘

Let’s be honest, sometimes we got lost with even the simplest tasks…
