They are furious with the Health Secretary for blaming the fall on women being too embarrassed to go to the doctors.
Instead they say it is down to cuts to sexual health services.

The party is urging Brits to flood the minister’s Twitter with the pictures using the hashtag notashrinkingviolet.

They are also targeting his Matt Hancock app, which he uses to keep in touch with constituents in Suffolk.

TV star Jade Goody helped send the rates of smear tests soaring after she shared her diagnosis with the country. She died of the cancer in 2009.

But the rates of tests has plummeted.

Rebecca Manson Jones, from the Women’s Equality Party said: “Women have had enough of being blamed for our health issues.

“I’ve no doubt, given the relentless body shaming, that many women do feel embarrassed about accessing cervical screenings.

“But it is the government that should be embarrassed about this drop in appointments.”
