Prince William and Kate Middleton's 'weird' Euro 2020 appearance called out by Chris Evans

Prince William, Kate Middleton and their eldest son George were joined by 40,000 supporters at Wembley stadium for England’s clash against Germany in Euro 2020. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge caught the attention of Chris Evans, who questioned the couple’s match appearance.

Speaking on his self-titled Virgin Radio Breakfast Show today, the radio DJ admitted he was baffled why the trio appeared socially distanced while watching the game.

The broadcaster said he was unsure why the royals stood so far apart from one another, as they are living in the same household.

“William, Kate and George were there,” Chris began.

“They were socially distancing from each other and they’re in the same bubble.”

Chris remarked: “Where was Prince Harry? We know he is in the country.”

He cheekily addressed the brothers’ rumoured rift, as the radio DJ joked he was sure Prince Harry wished they had made up before the big football game.

“I bet he’s thinking, ‘Why didn’t I make up with brother before the game?'” Chris joked.

Prince Harry has returned to Britain for the unveiling of a statue in honour of his late mother, Diana, the Princess of Wales.
