Pretty Little Liar’s Shay Mitchell got extremely upset over the possibility of having a cesaerean section due to her baby being breech.
In a new episode of her YouTube series Almost Ready, Shay and her boyfriend Matte Babel talk about maybe having to get a c-section if doctors can’t turn their baby girl from her breech position.
On their way to the OB-GYN doctor, Matte attempted to ask her about the procedure, to which she said: ‘I can’t even talk about this. It’s actually going to make me upset.
‘Even if it doesn’t happen today, I don’t want to have to do that.’
Matte, 38, had said the baby ‘moved like crazy’ a few nights before in an attempt to reassure his girlfriend.
‘They’re gonna spin her today,’ he said. ‘Placenta’s out of the way, you have lots of fluid and the baby’s sitting high. There’s no question she’s gonna turn today.’
However, Shay couldn’t get over the long recovery time for c-sections.
‘It’s not just the surgery, it’s the recovery time,’ she said. ‘I cannot be bedridden for however long it’s gonna be.
‘I really don’t want that. If I’m in bed, I’m gonna go nuts. You’ll be able to live your life still and I’ll be f***ing stuck after the baby’s born.
‘You can’t even lift them sometimes because it hurts so much.’
Nothing her boyfriend was telling her seemed to reassure her until she remembered who else had a c-section.
The actress said: ‘I think Beyonce had a c-section. That’s the only thing that’s making me feel better to be honest.’
Thankfully, within minutes of being at the doctor’s office, her baby’s head turned immediately.
It’s a good thing Matte stayed so positive!
Shay can breathe freely now, she no longer needs to have a c-section.
