‘Prepare for a REVOLUTION!’ Farage warns Brexit Party victory ‘just the BEGINNING’

Writing for The Daily Telegraph, Mr Farage said his party winning 28 seats just six weeks after forming is just the beginning, adding a “revolution in British politics” will follow. He said: “The Brexit Party has made history. We have won the elections to the European Parliament within six weeks of being launched. British politics has never seen anything like it. “It took the Labour Party 45 years to win the popular vote in a national election.

“The Brexit Party has achieved it within 45 days, despite the major parties massively outspending us.

“The Remainers want to spin the results to claim they “really” won. Few people will be fooled by these democracy deniers.

“The clear message of the European elections is that the main political parties have failed to deliver the Brexit that 17.4million voted for three years ago.”

He added: “These results should be a big wake-up call to the Conservatives and Labour.

“This is what happens when you keep breaking your promises to the people and destroy trust in democracy.”

Mr Farage also referred to the “clean Brexit” he hopes to achieve under the World Trade Organisation (WTO) rules.

He said: “We want to be a self-governing, independent democratic nation – reaching out to and trading with the wider world, free to invest in our regions and take back control of our laws, borders and money.

“Theresa May has gone but the ghost of her terrible withdrawal agreement remains.

“The Brexit Party will oppose any attempt to impose a similar stitch-up that would leave the UK subject to EU rules.”

The Brexit Party won 28 seats in European Parliament, with the Liberal Democrats in second with 16.

Labour followed with 10 and the Tories languished in fifth position with just four.

Mr Farage’s party won a huge 31.6 percent of the votes, with the Liberal Democrats coming second with 20.3 percent.

The Brexit Party have so far topped polls in every country or region apart from London, which was won by the Liberal Democrats.

The Conservative Party placed fifth with less than 10 percent of the vote.

On Sunday, Mr Farage declared: “This is a big, big message, a big wake-up call to Westminster. Will they listen?

“Never before in British politics has a new party launched just six weeks ago topped the polls at a national election.

“The reason, of course, is very obvious. We voted to leave in a referendum. We were supposed to do so on March 29 and we haven’t.”

The Brexit Party leader also said he had won the most seats in the European elections because of his “simple message”.
