Pogba to leave United?

The future of Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has once again made the football gossip headlines.

According to Spanish newspaper AS the French World Cup winner wants to leave Old Trafford this summer. Usual suspects Real Madrid and Juventus are again linked with the 26-year-old.

Despite flourishing since the arrival of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as caretaker manager the “Pogba to leave United” rumours have continued. As ESPN says: “Welcome to the saga of the summer, folks.”

Reds to cut losses on Keita

Naby Keita only arrived at Liverpool from RB Leipzig for £52m last year but it is claimed that the Anfield side are ready to take a £10m loss by selling the midfielder. The 24-year-old Guinea international could return to Germany with either Bayern Munich or Borussia Dortmund. (The Sun)

Asensio to stay at Real

Recently re-appointed Real Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane has “closed the door” on Marco Asensio leaving the Bernabeu. The Spanish midfielder had been linked with Premier League leaders Liverpool. (Daily Mirror)

Reds to miss out on De Ligt

Another player who Liverpool could miss out on is Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt. The 19-year-old has been linked with most of Europe’s top clubs but Barcelona are in the driving seat to sign the £70m-rated Dutch international. (The Sun)

Liverpool striker Sadio Mane is one of Zinedine Zidane’s top transfer targets this summer. The Senegal star was also linked with Real Madrid last season. (Marca)

Nicolo Barella scored his first international goal for Italy against Finland on Saturday and Arsenal scouts watched on as the Cagliari midfielder starred in the Euro 2020 qualifying match. Barella, 22, has also been linked with Chelsea. (Metro)

Davies: Bale welcome to re-join Spurs

Tottenham defender Ben Davies says Gareth Bale would be welcomed back if the forward leaves Real Madrid. Davies said of his Wales team-mate: “He’s come under a bit of flak at Madrid recently, but for Wales he’s always been brilliant. I’m always going to say it’s unfair, he is one of the best players in the world, we see it every day in training. I’d definitely have him at Tottenham. But I don’t know how likely that is.” (Goal)
