Solskjaer hopes Pogba will stay

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes Paul Pogba will stay at Old Trafford but can’t guarantee it.

The Norwegian said: “I think he will be here next season. Paul has done fantastic for us. We want him to do well. He is a leader in the dressing room. If I could guarantee I would say yes. You can’t guarantee but I think he will be.” (BBC Sport)

Richarlison on United’s radar

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is expected to have a major summer overhaul of his Manchester United squad and one player who is being considered for a move to Old Trafford is Everton forward Richarlison. Real reject huge bids for Asensio

Liverpool and Juventus reportedly lead the chase to sign Marco Asensio from Real Madrid and according to his agent the Bernabéu club have rejected multiple offers of up to €180m (£155.3m) for the Spanish international. Horacio Gaggioli said: “There is always interest in Marco from other big clubs, seeing if he wanted to leave, which is normal for the player he is. But he always says that he is very happy with Madrid, is only interested in being a success there.” (ESPN)

Gunners may go for Gomes

Arsenal have joined the race to sign Andre Gomes from Barcelona. The Portuguese midfielder is currently on a season-long long at Everton, who are also keen on securing a permanent deal. (ESPN)

Bayern still keen on Hudson-Odoi

Although Chelsea star Callum Hudson-Odoi has this week had surgery on his injured Achilles the teenage winger remains a target for Bayern Munich. Bayern chief Uli Hoeness said: “Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and Hasan Salihamidzic have said that he is an interesting player. I think we keep thinking about it.
