How high can Leicester go this season? The sense seems to be that it will again be a two-horse race for the title, with Liverpool out in front, closely followed by Manchester City but Brendan Rodgers’s side, and indeed Chelsea, are not so far behind. As Dean Smith said before Aston Villa were swept aside last weekend, City are not infallible and Liverpool, too, are not flawless. When Rodgers was asked about odds on his side winning the league shortening to around 50/1 following their 9-0 demolition of Southampton, he smiled and said: “We just want to finish as high as possible and I’d never put any limits on that.” Leicester travel to Crystal Palace on Sunday in search of a fourth straight win.
