A heavily pregnant Sylvia Jeffreys promoted her newly-renovated designer nursery during a special segment on Today Extra on Tuesday.

The 33-year-old invited viewers into her $2.7million Sydney home to promote several of the luxury brands, after hiring an ‘organising expert’ decorate the space.

‘Thank you for sorting out my life, I would never have done this! The baby would have been in a bare room!’ Sylvia told stylist Anita Birges.

At the start of the promotional segment, Sylvia said that ‘anybody on the same journey’ as her could learn something from Anita.

‘I am thoroughly and embarrassingly disorganised, which is probably not a surprise to a lot of people who know me,’ she explained.

‘So I’m very excited to get some professional help on the nursery.’

Throughout the segment, Anita highlighted several of the brands she had used to decorate Sylvia’s nursery as the price tags flashed up on screen.

The most expensive item was a $1,707 storage unit, and the total cost of the renovation was approximately $4,500.

This figure does not include the crib, chest of drawers or armchair that Sylvia already had.

A Nine spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia: ‘Items in the segment were purchased by Sylvia and some were sourced by the stylist.’

Today and Today Extra regularly broadcast similar home makeover segments.

In 2017, Sylvia’s wedding to Peter Stefanovic in the Kangaroo Valley was packaged up in a similar promotional segment on the Today show.

Her custom Rebecca Valance gown received several mentions during the broadcast, as did the bridesmaids’ dresses from the same designer.

Other items promoted on air included the couple’s venue, Peter’s Armani suit and the jeweller who had provided the wedding rings.

Peter’s older brother, Karl Stefanovic, joked during his wedding speech that their family never has to pay for anything because of their celebrity status.

‘We got beautiful heads / we don’t pay for s**t / agents deliver it / and they know why,’ he sang to the tune of Oasis song Champagne Supernova.
