Michelle Dewberry has shared another update from hospital as she reaches week four of her stay, after suffering from a pregnancy complication known as PPROM.

The former Apprentice star, 40, revealed earlier this month that she has been in hospital ‘for a while now’ due to her waters breaking early.

PPROM or preterm premature rupture of the membranes is where the amniotic sac surrounding the baby breaks before week 37 of pregnancy.

Once it breaks you have an increased risk of infection and there is a higher chance of the baby being born early.

Taking to Instagram on Thursday, Michelle revealed she has now been in hospital for the past four weeks and is feeling ‘tired and bored’.

She shared a picture of her posing in the mirror with her baby bump and giving a thumbs up, as she encouraged other expectant mums in her position to ‘keep going’, despite the ‘challenges’ PPROM brings with it.

Michelle wrote: ‘As I approach my fourth week in hospital; I’m tired, bored and have had another week of challenges and ups/downs, but I am also really chuffed because I hit another milestone and another pregnancy gestation week!! Whoop ??.

‘This isn’t easy but we have to keep on going… Anyone else in my situation, try to keep the faith, keep strong and most importantly, try to keep holding on to your baby for as long as it is safe to do so.’

Fans flooded Michelle’s post with support and their well wishes, with many telling the TV star she is ‘doing great’.

Six days ago, Michelle revealed she had reached 30-weeks pregnant in her first update from hospital, where she admitted she hasn’t been allowed a single visitor due to new coronavirus guidelines.

‘Yay, we made it past 30 weeks,’ Michelle revealed, while admitting: ‘This deffo isn’t the pregnancy journey I wanted…

‘Thanks to PPROM, I have been in hospital a while and will certainly not be going anywhere anytime soon, but I’m SO happy to have reached this milestone.’

She continued: ‘Every single day since PPROM has ups and downs.

Michelle is known for winning The Apprentice back in 2006

‘We’ve had some serious frights, intense moments and a huge amount of uncertainty, confusion and sadness, but I’m taking this one day at a time. Every day we achieve is an absolute bonus ??.

‘Being all alone in hospital during this and not being allowed a single visitor sucks but I am SO grateful for all the love, care and support I’m receiving -at a distance- from my partner, my family and my lovely friends (not to mention lots of support from people on social media etc). It helps me to stay positive ??.

‘Any other ladies going through this right now, keep going. It’s a scary time but we got this mammas and everything is going to be ok. Stay strong❤️???? .’

Michelle, who is in a relationship with former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan, announced news she is expecting her first child back in April.

She is known for winning the second series of The Apprentice back in 2006.
