Power: Why did 50 Cent leave Power as Kanan Stark? Real reason revealed

“I was never writing about the power of the characters. I was writing about God’s power and the powerlessness of the characters. That’s what I was always writing about.”

50 Cent is still very much involved in the Power franchise and was constantly sharing updates on social media about the sixth and final series of the show while it aired.

He also worked in the writers’ room on the last outing as the show got ready to tie up the loose ends and set up the show for the spin-offs.

The star has also been working on the spin-offs, teasing images from the set of Power Book III: Raising Kanan.

There’s also scope for 50 Cent to appear in Raising Kanan, which focuses on a young version of Power character ported by rising star Mekai Curtis.

According to IMDb, 50 Cent is credited as an executive producer on all four of the new Power spin-offs.

He’s also named as producer on new TV series For Life, so it sounds like the star had plenty of projects to keep him busy.

Power is streaming on Netflix now
