The coronavirus pandemic has brought a vast number of TV series to a halt as show bosses everywhere halt production amid the outbreak. Power is no different as Starz halted proceedings on its two spin-off series currently in the works in the form of Book II: Ghost and Book III: Raising Kanan.
Now, just one week after Power brought production on its spin-off to a pause, it’s been rocked by the news one of its crew members has tested positive for COVID-19.
US publication Deadline exclusively broke the news on Friday, March 20.
According to the outlet, a crew member from Power Book II: Ghost was diagnosed.
Deadline report: “Currently in a NYC hospital receiving care, the individual went into self-quarantine on March 13.”

The crew member’s condition is reportedly stable according to a “well-placed source.”
On Friday, Power broadcaster Starz stated: “The health and safety of all of our employees, casts and crews remains our top priority,
“We will continue to follow the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control as well as local officials and public health professionals.”
Express.co.uk has contacted Starz for comment regarding the Power crew member.
Showrunner Courtney Kemp hasn’t publicly addressed the unnamed crew member’s diagnosis.
However, she did address Power fans and release a statement regarding the halt in production last week.
Taking to Instagram, Courtney said: “Dear #powertv fans, we have ceased production for at least a week in order to protect our cast and crew.
“We will keep you posted as circumstances change. Both @ghoststarz and #powerbook3raisingkanan are down so we can assess the situation and keep people safe and healthy.
