Portuguese police have revealed they are looking to speak to ‘two English-speaking individuals’ in connection with the shooting of British rapper Mist.

In a statement, the Policia Judiciaria admitted they are investigating the incident but suggested that the ‘modus operandi of the suspects does not fit the typical sort of robbery’.

The Birmingham star was rushed to hospital after being shot in the leg during a burglary in a luxury villa in the Algarve.

The burglars allegedly took Mist’s passport, phones and jewellery in the apparent break-in near the Quinta do Lago resort.

Mist, real name Rhys Thomas Sylvester, was driven to Faro Hospital by two friends, who told police that the 27-year-old was shot in the leg at around 10pm local time on Tuesday night.

‘The crime in question, which has yet to be clarified, was perpetrated by two English-speaking individuals with firearms. During the incident a shot was fired which hit one of the occupants of the property, a British man, in a lower limb.
