Pop Smoke, a famous rapper, has been killed at the age of just 20. The incident which lead to his death appears to be a home invasion according to reports. But how exactly did the up and coming rapper die?
Pop smoke, whose name was Bashar Barakah Jackson, was an American rapper and songwriter.
He was best known for his son Welcome to the Party, the lead single on his debut mixtape Meet the Woo, released in July 2019.
His Welcome to the Party rap song was made into two remixes featuring big rap names Nicki Minaj and Skepta in August 2019.
He later went on to collaborate with rapper Lil Tjay on the song War in October and also collaborated with Travis Scott on the song Gatti.
The rapper was rushed to the hospital by paramedics in an ambulance but was pronounced dead.
The suspects have not yet been caught or identified.
Law enforcement officials told TMZ there had been a party or a gathering at Pop Smoke’s home prior to the shooting, but it is unclear if this has any connection to the shooting.
