He said: “The IoD in Scotland will provide a fantastic setting for the Scottish business community to debate and discuss how they will move forward. Whatever the outcome of discussions between the government and EU representatives, it will be the role of business leaders to come together – and more importantly work together – to safeguard the future success of their organisations for the benefit of their employees, their communities and economies in which  they operate. I encourage all to attend.”

The event, which attracts some of the top business leaders in Scotland, will explore the theme of Architects of the new Scottish Economy. Sessions will explore how Scotland’s business leaders can build an economy fit for the modern age – one that is open, dynamic and connected, delivering the financial results needed for growth but at the same time, grounded in the principles of inclusivity, diversity and trust.
