An Instagram photo has captured a sight that would leave many passengers reaching for a sick bag. The repulsive sight was shared by account passengershaming and has attracted uproar on the image-sharing site. The Instagram photo depicts a man who appears to have an injury on his leg. However, there seems to be something very wrong with the wound indeed.
The image shows the male passenger, who is wearing blue shorts, sitting in the aisle seat of an aircraft.
His injured leg is stretched out in front of him, with a large white plaster peeking out below his shorts.
Disturbingly the plaster seems to be doing a very poor job of protecting the wound.
A disgusting pale yellow substance appears to be oozing out from under it and leaking down his leg.
What’s more, splashes of the repulsive stuff look to be accumulating on the plane floor.
His bare foot also appears to be seeping a similar looking fluid as there is a puddle of the substance by his heel.
However, it’s possible the liquid has come from the plaster – it is hard to tell.
Bizarrely there seems to have been no attempt to clean up the unpleasant mess.
Instagram users have been thoroughly disgusted by what is seen in the image and have shared their thoughts online.
“What the hell is that?” one person wrote. Another added: “It’s like his wound threw up.”
A third Instagram user posted: “This is nauseatingly gross.”
Another wrote: “Why is he just sitting there like nothing is happening?? Is he passed out?
“What do flight attendants do in this case? I mean, just let this man ooze all over the place? I’m just curious about the protocol for leaking bodily fluids.”
Unfortunately, it’s unclear exactly what the situation was as no further information is given by passengershaming.
Other sickening sights have also been shared by the Instagram account – although rarely quite so stomach-turning as this.
