Pittsburgh Knights and Coca-Cola Partner to Help Launch Coke Energy

The Pittsburgh Knights announced that is has entered into a partnership with the Coca-Cola Company to help launch its new drink, Coke Energy. Pittsburgh will highlight the partnership with a content series in conjunction with its Rocket League team. Coke Energy will come in four flavors: Coke Energy, Coke Energy Cherry, Coke Energy Zero, and Coke Energy Zero Cherry. 

“We know how much the esports community loves their energy drinks, so we’re thrilled to share Coke Energy with our fans” said Pittsburgh Knights president James O’Connor, in a release. “Kicking off this partnership with our Rocket League team is just a perfect start. Lots to come in 2020 and we’re really looking forward to working with Coca-Cola.”

In addition to content creation during the upcoming regular season, the Knights will head out on a roadshow presented by Coke Energy to a number of Sheetz store locations where fans can meet players and sample the new drinks. Convenience store chain Sheetz is also a partner of the Pittsburgh Knights. 

Coca-Cola has been a long-time partner of esports, having been a sponsor of the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) in 2014. Since then, the company has made many forays into the esports sponsorship space, most notably as a sponsor of Activision Blizzard’s Overwatch League.
