Piers Morgan's new presenting role unveiled after Fox News host's comment 'See you here'

Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid were the main presenting duo on Good Morning Britain, but last month Piers quit the show when he refused to apologise for his comments about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Oprah Winfrey interview. Since then, he has told his side of the story and when he joined Tucker Carlson on Fox Nation, the host made a comment at the end of the interview which hints at the possibility Piers could swap the UK for the USA should a presenting role at the channel appear.

At the end of his chat with Tucker, Piers spoke about what his plans are for the immediate future now he doesn’t have to be up in the early hours of the morning, three days a week.

He said he is planning to take a few months which he does “every time something like this happens” and will use his spare time to get fit because “breakfast TV is pretty punishing on the torso”.

“I will scheme and plot the next stage of my global domination,” he half-jokes.

“The media world is a wonderful world to be in. I don’t see this not as a bad experience, but one of the best and most affirmative,” Piers added.

Tucker then replied: “I hope to see you here.”

Does this mean there are possible discussions for Fox to take on the controversial Piers Morgan?

It comes after speculation is rife as to whether Piers will be snapped up by GB News.

Andrew Neil spoke previously about Piers potentially joining the new show: “It’s a real problem now for ITV that they’ve lost him.

The programme this morning was much more run of the mill, low key, kind of ordinary, so it’s going to be difficult for them to replace him.

“I wouldn’t want to transfer what he was doing on GMB straight to GB News.

“I’d want to do something different with him at a different time of day. He’s adaptable and he can do different things in different ways.

“He’d be a huge asset to our channel if we can get him. We’ll try to do so and see if we can come to a mutual agreement,” he added.

Phillip commented: “He won’t come cheap,” and Andrew replied: “You mean he’ll want more than a lucky bag and six corn flakes packet tops?”

When Piers got wind of some of the rumours, he waded in about the money on offer.

A report made by The Mirror claimed: “[Piers] has had millions of pounds worth of offers. He turned GMB into a ratings hit, it seems everything he touches turns to gold

“People love his honesty, even the people that don’t like him, they can’t help but be interested in what he says.

“Some of the offers have hit the £10million mark, and it seems he may be able to land exactly what he wants,” the source said.

When he heard about the bidding war, Piers took to Twitter and added: Only 10 [million pounds]?”
