Piers Morgan Twitter: ‘BBC Breakfast sucks’ GMB host reignites feud with Dan Walker

Piers Morgan, 54, got into a heated debate on Twitter with Dan Walker, 42, after the BBC Breakfast presenter suggested a TV critic was “Piers’ friend”. The presenters’ war of words comes after a Twitter user highlighted a column comparing Good Morning Britain to BBC Breakfast. They wrote in response to Dan’s co-host Louise Minchin, 50: “Did you and @mrdanwalker see Ally Ross’ column in The Sun yesterday?” After spotting the comment, Dan wrote in view of his 520,000 followers: “Would that be Piers’ friend Ally? #JoinTheDots.”

Piers was quick to address the BBC Sport favourite’s claims with his 6.7 million followers as he hit back: “You blaming me for TV critics now, Mr Walker?!

“It’s not my fault they think @BBCBreakfast sucks & @GMB is great.”

Escalating the tension between the pair, Dan cheekily replied: “Are you searching your name again?”

He added: “I’ve always said you and @susannareid100 do a great job. I also don’t see the need to pointlessly slag off the opposition.

“Hope you’re having a good show. I’m in Scotland for the @ScottishOpen (watching @BBCBreakfast).”

Fans took to the comments section of Dan and Piers’ posts to wade in on the presenters’ feud.

The outspoken TV personality retweeted the snap of the popstar, who was pictured sitting naked in a chair.

Piers captioned the post: “Erm…put it away mate @LiamPayne, yeah? This is cringe-making.”

In response to the presenter’s tweet, Liam’s fans were quick to defend his decision to bare all in the photo.

One accused Piers of being “jealous”, commenting: “Aren’t you too old to do this? Jealousy is a disease you can only wish you could look as good as him.”

Another joked: “You’re the one that saved it to your camera roll bucko.”(sic)

BBC Breakfast airs on BBC One at 6am.

Good Morning Britain airs from 6am on ITV.
