Piers Morgan has been poking fun at the WAG war between Rebekah Vardy and Coleen Rooney (Picture: Instagram/Rex)

Piers Morgan seems to have picked his side in the WAG war between Rebekah Vardy and Coleen Rooney.

Coleen pretty much broke Instagram, Twitter and the entire internet when she named and shamed Rebekah as the person who had been selling fake stories on her to the press (#WagathaChristie).

She came up with an elaborate plan to out Rebekah on Instagram, blocking everyone but Jamie Vardy’s wife on her private Instagram account and posting fake stories to see whether they would then be passed onto the media – turns out, they had.

Rebekah denies being the one to do so and reportedly hired a forensic investigator to look into her account to prove her innocence.

And it seems like she’s won Piers over, who was seen posing up a storm with Rebekah as they watched Leicester FC, Jamie’s team, take on Arsenal on Saturday.

Piers shared a selfie with Rebekah and mocked Coleen’s famous, ‘… it’s Rebekah Vardy’s account,’ line, as he penned alongside his pic: ‘It’s Rebekah Vardy!’

The Good Morning Britain host praised Rebekah and her husband Jamie for their hospitality, as he joined Rebekah in a box for the match.

His post came after Robbie Williams weighed into the drama and slammed Coleen publicly outing Rebekah.

He told The Telegraph: ‘Let’s say Rebekah was guilty – which we don’t know. How she will feel inside right now is 10 times worse than how Coleen would have felt when those things were happening to her.

‘It’s a dangerous game to play… I understand Coleen’s need for revenge and I probably would have done the same thing but we have to be careful. ‘It’s suicide-causing – provoking these levels of shame.’

Since exposing Rebekah, Coleen hasn’t publicly spoken about the situation.

Her original post read: ‘After a long time of trying to figure out who it could be, for various reasons, I had a suspicion. To try and prove this, I came up with an idea, I blocked everyone from viewing [my] Instagram except ONE account.

‘Over the past five months I have posted a series of false stories to see if they made their way into the Sun newspaper. And you know, they did!

‘I have saved and screenshotted all the original stories which clearly show just one person has viewed them. It’s……… Rebekah Vardy’s account.’
