Piers Morgan takes aim at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in furious Good Morning Britain rant

Piers Morgan has continued his criticism of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle with a fresh rant about the pair on Good Morning Britain

Harry will today (Monday, January 13) sit down for crisis talks with family members including the Queen and ahead of the Sandringham summit, Morgan took a swipe at the couple.

Speaking alongside co-host Susanna Reid, the presenter labelled the Duke and Duchess of Sussex “spoilt brats” and accused them of “holding her [the Queen] to ransom about the entire way the monarchy works.”

“I think it’s completely and utterly outrageous to treat the Queen in this way,” Morgan continued. “If they want to leave, if they’ve had enough and she wants to up sticks and disappear after 18 months of marriage, then that’s fine.”

Taking aim directly at Meghan, Morgan added: “I always thought you’d do this anyway, you quit everything.

‘You quit your friends, you quit your family, you quit your dad, you quit your ex-husband, you quit everybody.”

“They are literally breaking up the royal family, they’re doing the opposite of what their supposed goal is,” he concluded.

Morgan has criticised Meghan numerous times since her engagement and subsequent marriage to Harry.

The presenter previously considered himself a friend of the former actress having once been out for a drink with her when she was visiting the UK.

However, when Meghan’s relationship with Harry became public, he was dismayed to find she did not contact him anymore.

Since the latest royal row erupted, many critics on Twitter – including famous faces – have questioned why Morgan is so incensed by the turn of events.

Lord Alan Sugar wrote: “Why don’t you come clean @piersmorgan. Tell your followers what you have against Meghan.

“Fact is she blew you out. You groveled [sic] to take her to your pub once and since then she has not answered your grovelling calls. Had she acknowledged you it would be a different story.” [sic]

Good Morning Britain airs on weekdays from 6am.
