Piers Morgan slams the Kardashians after Khloe's unfiltered picture drama

Piers Morgan has slammed the Kardashians for the way they present themselves on social media following drama over an unedited picture of Khloe Kardashian.

The former Good Morning Britain presenter has been in the spotlight the last few weeks for his criticisms of Meghan Markle but now it appears that the 56-year-old has turned to take a pop at the most famous reality family in the world.

Piers has particularly taken a swipe at youngest Kardashian sister Khloe, who in the last few days has made a fuss about an unedited bikini picture of her being posted online ‘without her consent’.

The Kardashians appear to be precious about the image they portray to the public, and they often come under fire for apparently heavily editing their snaps.

The Kardashians have been issuing strong statements at the weekend, as they called for the image of Khloe in a leopard print bikini to be taken down.

Writing in his column for MailOnline, Piers remarked: “I didn’t think there was anything left in the world of the Kardashians that could possibly shock me. But I was wrong.

“The photo of Khloé Kardashian in a leopard print bikini that’s gone viral this week is truly jaw-dropping.

“Because it’s real. No filters, no airbrushing, little make-up, hair scraped back in a ponytail – just a picture of how Ms Kardashian actually looks.”

Piers continued with his views on the control the Kardashian family like to have over their image.

He wrote: “By comparison to all her heavily enhanced, carefully-staged glamour publicity photos, her waistline is significantly less defined, her curves less dramatic and her skin not so impossibly smooth.

“It’s Khloé unvarnished, flaws and all. And the photo was utterly horrifying.

“Not to me, I hasten to add. I thought she looked as refreshingly normal as I’ve ever seen any of the Kardashians.

“No, it was utterly horrifying to HER.”

Piers pointed out that Khloe has “posted 12 photos of herself in bikinis on her Instagram” in the past week or so and the images had been “substantially worked on” so that it portrayed “aesthetic perfection.”

He said that while her followers wondered how she could look so perfect, he reasoned that the “answer is by faking it”, before adding “all the Kardashians have been doing for years.”

As his withering takedown of the Keeping Up With The Kardashians stars continued, Piers concluded: “With one carelessly released genuine photo, the scam’s been blown.”

Khloe’s family are calling for the bikini snap to be removed from the internet

After the pic, taken by Kris Jenner’s mother Mary Jo, was posted at the weekend by an assistant, a legal representative for Khloe’s grandmother issued a statement, which read: “We are counsel for Mary Jo ‘MJ’ Shannon. Copies of a photograph, captured by our client, which captures her family member Khloé Kardashian in a private location (wearing a leopard print bikini), have been unlawfully posted online, without authorisation.”

Tracy Romulus, chief marketing officer for KKW Brands, added in a separate statement: “The colour edited photo was taken of Khloé during a private family gathering and posted to social media without permission by mistake by an assistant.

“Khloé looks beautiful but it is within the right of the copyright owner to not want an image not intended to be published taken down.”
