Piers Morgan has thrown shade at Hugh Grant following the actor’s decision to take aim at Boris Johnson in a big way.

Piers’ tweet comes after it all kicked off on Wednesday when the 58-year-old star slammed the British Prime Minister when he tweeted a video explaining his controversial plan to suspend Parliament.

But in response, the Good Morning Britain presenter shared a picture of Hugh’s 1995 police mugshot and captioned the grab: ‘Halo Hugh… Britain’s moral standard-bearer.’

On 27 June 1995, the Notting Hill actor was arrested in Los Angeles in a police vice operation for receiving oral sex in a public place from Hollywood prostitute Divine Brown.

He was fined $1,180 (£965), placed on two years’ summary probation, and was ordered to complete an Aids education program.

Following Johnson’s decision to tweet a video explaining his controversial plan to suspend Parliament, Hugh left everyone with some pretty vivid imagery in their heads, adding: ‘You will not f*** with my children’s future. You will not destroy the freedoms my grandfather fought two world wars to defend.

‘F*** off you over-promoted rubber bath toy. Britain is revolted by you and you [sic] little gang of masturbatory prefects.’

Hugh’s outburst comes after the Queen accepted Johnson’s proposal to suspend Parliament.

The move, which has prompted a furious political row, now means Tory rebels and the opposition parties face a race against time to stop a no-deal Brexit.

The manoeuvre halves the number of pre-Brexit sitting days when Government ministers can be held to account.

Ministers are set to return to London after the summer recess on 3 September.
