Piers Morgan has responded to Munya Chawawa after the comedian released a song named after the broadcaster.

Following Munya releasing the track ‘Piers Morgan’ under his alter-ego Unknown P, it soon came to the attention of the actual Piers.

Reposting a clip of the debut single, a bewildered Piers asked his followers: ‘What. Is. This?’

Of course, Munya soon responded to clear up exactly what it was that Piers was looking at, replying: ‘Art’.

The 27-year-old found fame after entertaining people with his song parodies on Instagram and TikTok, which led to him being signed by Atlantic Records.

Munya has created many different characters, but his controversial, posh journalist and drill rapper Unknown P has become a fan favourite.

He previously told Metro.co.uk that he sees a lot of Piers in the character, explaining: ‘Unknown P is somebody who, as a character, speaks their mind, often shows this obliviousness to other people’s feelings, or what’s right or wrong, sometimes ignores social etiquette.

‘And I feel like a lot of the time that’s what that’s what gets Piers in trouble. I think Unknown P sees a lot of himself in Piers, for sure.’

Munya will no doubt be thrilled that Piers has watching his tribute video, as he is hoping there may be a diss track back from the Good Morning Britain host.

He explained: ‘I think a worst case scenario is a diss track back from Piers. And the best case scenario is forcing Piers to dance to some drill on Good Morning Britain.’

Munya’s hilarious videos have captured the zeitgeist particularly during the coronavirus pandemic and the Black Lives Matter movement in the summer, so it was only a matter of time before he was due to send up Piers, after all.

We can’t wait to see Piers drop a diss track back…
