Piers Morgan prepares to host GMB from home after coronavirus bombshell


Piers Morgan has gone to extra lengths to make sure he will be able to present Good Morning Britain from his home.

The 55-year-old, who celebrated his birthday last weekend, has taken the precautions in case he is forced to work from home due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Using ITV equipment, Susanna Reid ‘s co-star set up a makeshift TV studio in his living room, to help him broadcast the morning news show from his home.

Helping her dad out, his daughter Elise, 11, stood in front of the lens as he set the studio up.

Sharing a snap of his youngest miming a news bulletin, Piers took to Instagram to share the home-studio with his fans.

He said: “Elise Morgan reporting live from her father’s office, via the new self-isolation @gmb camera kit (should I need it..).”

The move comes after Piers dropped a coronavirus bombshell yesterday as he revealed his youngest son Albert has come down with coronavirus symptoms.

The ITV presenter explained how Albert, 19, has been left unable to taste or smell over the last few weeks.

Susanna has just returned to the ITV studios after 14 days of self-isolation.

The 49-year-old was forced to go into quarantine after her son started to display coronavirus symptoms, including a cough.

Recent weeks have seen Piers openly blast politicians and celebs over their response to the pandemic.

On Tuesday, the broadcaster hit out at Like A Virgin hitmaker Madonna, after she filmed a video of herself in a bathtub during self-isolation.

Taking a soak in a tub filled with rose petals, Madonna branded the deadly virus as a “great equaliser” in a social media clip.

Watching it on GMB, Piers fumed: ”I have a problem with Madonna because she’s so incredibly self-indulgent and annoying.

“She’s exactly as annoying now as she ever has been.”
