Piers Morgan has taken to social media to thank his “brilliant” manager John Ferriter who passed away aged 59.
Ferriter, the longtime William Morris Agency talent agent, died on Thursday with the cause of death still unknown.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, no details of his death were immediately available.
A pioneer in representing clients in the television industry, Ferriter’s client list included Ryan Seacrest, Claudia Schiffer, Adam Carolla, Carson Daly, Jimmy Kimmel and Mario Lopez, among others.
Writing to his 6.7million followers, the Good Morning Britain host thanked his friend for “all he did”.
It read: “RIP John Ferriter, 59.
“My brilliant manager and ferociously loyal, kind, charismatic and supremely talented friend.
“I trusted him with my life, and he enriched my life so much.”
He added: “Thank you John, for everything you did for me, and for my family.”
Ferriter worked at WMA for nearly two decades before a stint at Octagon Entertainment, and then went on to set up his own management and production company The Alternative in 2015.
During his career, Ferriter represented talent and shows which included big hitters such as Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Project Runway, and On Air With Ryan Seacrest.
Aside from TV, Ferriter was also a singer and songwriter for The Stingrays and The Tearaways, with the bands supporting music greats including R.E.M, Guns N’ Roses and The Bangles.
The Tearaways were set to perform at Molly Malone’s in Los Angeles on Tuesday before embarking on a tour across the UK.
