Sharing a picture of the pair laughing together, Piers penned a long message about how much he “misses” his partner in crime.

“A year ago today, I took the awful call telling me that my long time manager & great friend John Ferriter had died aged just 59 after a brief battle with pancreatitis,” said Piers.

“He lived every day like it was his last, and enriched the lives of everyone who met him.

“A unique character with boundless energy, a gift for story-telling, and extraordinary wisdom way beyond his years.

“Thank you John, for everything you did for me, and for my family.”

Ferriter launched management and production company The Alternative after 19 years at PR agency William Morris.

He left the agency in 2010 after voting against a merger with rival firm Endeavor – netting a $25m settlement in the process.
