PIERS Morgan has paid tribute to his manager and “great friend” John Ferriter on the first anniversary of his death.
The 55-year-old Good Morning Britain host was left devastated when John died suddenly at 59 from pancreatitis.
Sharing a picture of the pair laughing together, Piers penned a long message about how much he “misses” his partner in crime.
“A year ago today, I took the awful call telling me that my long time manager & great friend John Ferriter had died aged just 59 after a brief battle with pancreatitis,” said Piers.
“He lived every day like it was his last, and enriched the lives of everyone who met him.
“A unique character with boundless energy, a gift for story-telling, and extraordinary wisdom way beyond his years.
“Miss him every day, professionally & personally, particularly in these crazy times.
“Hope you’re having fun up there, John. Will toast your memory with something red and expensive later.”
The agent represented Piers for decades in the showbiz industry.
He also looked after clients including Peter Andre, Gemma Collins and Mark Wright.
At the time of his death, Piers led the tributes with an emotional tweet about his manager, describing him as “ferociously loyal, kind, charismatic & supremely talented friend”.
He added: “I trusted him with my life, and he enriched my life so much.
“Thank you John, for everything you did for me, and for my family.”
Ferriter launched management and production company The Alternative after 19 years at PR agency William Morris.
He left the agency in 2010 after voting against a merger with rival firm Endeavor – netting a $25m settlement in the process.
