PIERS Morgan insulted newsreader Ranvir Singh as he returned to Good Morning Britain with Susanna Reid today.
Piers, 54, was barely on air for 30 minutes before he accidentally insulted his colleague as she stood outside Westminster to report on Tory MPs opposing a no-deal Brexit.
Instead of sticking to the subject, Piers said: “Ranvir, you’re looking like a giant orange or a peach today. What’s going on?”
Ranvir, who wore a red coat, didn’t expect the joke and looked taken aback as she said: “What? What’s wrong with me?
“Why are you being insulting already? You’ve only been back five minutes.”
Realising his quip missed the mark, Piers mumbled: “I’ve literally had a giant peach every morning for the last 10 days.”
Showbiz correspondent Richard Arnold attempted to thaw the ice and chipped in: “I want to hear more about the giant peach.”
As Piers admitted: “Ranvir literally wants to kill me right now.”
Piers and Susanna later swapped summer holiday stories, with Piers bragging about his frolics on Lord Alan Sugar’s mega yacht.
The 54-year-old enjoyed a trip to St Tropez with Spencer, 26, Stanley, 22, Albert, 18, and Elise, 7, and photos flashed up of Piers posing for rare family photos with all four of his children.
In one, Piers could be seen smiling as he stood at the edge of the yacht, which he captioned: “The Morgan crew.”
Piers’ son Spencer joked: “Long haired ones caught the sun. Shame about the rest.”
Cheeky broadcaster Piers joked beneath another snap: “A Dame, a Lord and massively under-honoured human being. #Club55 #StTropez.”
Piers set tongues wagging when he cosied up to sworn enemy Lord Alan Sugar over lunch with Dame Joan Collins at St Tropez’s fancy Le Club 55 on Wednesday.
He followed the snap with a picture of his arm wrapped around Lord Alan as he puffed on a cigar, captioned: “El Chapos.”
At the start of his holiday Piers made a public dig at Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s private jet use by tweeting a photo of him on an economy flight.
The outspoken star shared a shot of himself sat on a British Airways flight to Nice – just days after the royal couple took a 12-seat luxury Cessna jet for the same trip.
He tweeted today saying: “Memo to ‘eco-warriors’ Meghan and Harry: this is what Economy to Nice looks like. Try it some time. @British_Airways #ManOfThePeople.”
In the photo he is sat in a cramped-looking seat reading a magazine while next to a passenger in an Arsenal shirt.
