Piers Morgan in raging online rant as cops break up hundreds of lockdown parties

Piers Morgan has lashed out online yet again, furious over the public’s response to the coronavirus outbreak.

On Twitter, the 55-year-old Good Morning Britain presenter condemned certain Mancunians who were busted by the police for hosting parties last weekend.

Sharing a BBC News update, Piers raged over the news, wondering “what the f**k is wrong with people”.

According to Greater Manchester Police, there were 1,132 coronavirus-related breaches reported between April fourth and seventh.

The government instructed non-essential workers to stay indoors and practise social distancing, but the sunny weather sweeping the UK has tempted certain revellers.

Policemen stepped in to shut down nearly 500 house parties and 166 street parties, with some featuring DJs, fireworks and bouncy castles.

Piers raged over the news on Twitter, highlighting the irresponsible behaviour across the UK in recent days

Piers fumed: “This is absolutely unbelievable – Manchester cops had to break up 660 parties last weekend including some with DJs, fireworks & bouncy castles.

Before asking: “What the f*ck is wrong with people???????”

This isn’t the first time Piers has publicly blasted rule-breakers amid the coronavirus outbreak.

Piers has been making his views heard of GMB each morning, urging the nation to stay home

Last month, the controversial TV personality insisted a teen should be jailed after sharing a video of himself licking produce in a supermarket.

In his column for Mail Online today, Piers suggested the government was to blame for the public’s attitude to lockdown.

Pointing out the rising death toll in the UK, he wondered: “How long will this lockdown go on and what is the plan to get us out of it?

Piers has urged UK politicians to take the lead, as death tolls continue to rise

“What exactly are they doing to achieve the treatments, mass testing and long-term international travel restrictions we will need to get people safely back to work without risking new flare-ups?”

Before declaring: “It’s way past time our parrot-like ministers got a grip, stopped passing decision-making accountability to increasingly discredited ‘experts’, and did what they’re paid to do: LEAD.”
