Piers Morgan blasts Lord Alan Sugar in furious Twitter spat over sunbathing

Good Morning Britain star Piers Morgan has hit out at Lord Alan Sugar in another furious Twitter spat.

The outspoken television presenter, 55, dubbed the millionaire as “recklessly stupid” when the pair became embroiled in a row over people sunbathing.

Piers said that the Apprentice boss’ opinion would kill people as he ended their on-off friendship once and for all.

Brits continued to ignore the government’s coronavirus lockdown rules over the weekend during the unexpected mini-heatwave, forcing a park in London to close – and leaving Piers furious.

But business tycoon Alan didn’t seem to have a problem with members of the public going to catch some rays.

Piers Morgan has vowed he’s “done with” Sir Alan Sugar following their latest Twitter spat over sunbathing

Lord Sugar tweeted: “I can’t for the life of me understand what @piersmorgan is on about in respect to sunbathing.

“If you are 10ft away from the next person in the open what’s wrong with that.

“In Essex, we have big fields. If you are in the middle of one chilling out in the sun, what’s wrong with that?”

Baffled by Lord Sugar’s words, Piers penned: “Billionaire hiding safely in his luxury Florida home demands the right for British people to all go out sunbathing…

Lord Sugar has been called a “disgrace” by Piers over his views on sunbathing during the coronavirus lockdown

“In direct contravention of Govt. instructions, as UK #coronavirus death toll rockets incl more and more NHS staff on the frontline. What an utter disgrace.” [sic]

Over the years, Piers and Lord Sugar have locked horns over a number of different topics and scenarios.

However, it seems Alan’s comments were a step too far and Piers revealed he would no longer be friends with his former pal.

He told his followers: “I’m done with @Lord_Sugar, trust me. His behaviour over this crisis has been an absolute disgrace, especially for a peer.

The pair are often locking horns and arguing over social media

“But when he actively encourages British people to go out sunbathing, I can’t just sit back and say nothing.

“His reckless, shameful stupidity will kill people.”

Is this really the end of the pair’s friendship?

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV at 6am
