Phoebe Waller-Bridge joins Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Schumer for New York night out

Move over, Taylor Swift: Phoebe Waller-Bridge is becoming one of the best connected women in showbiz.

The Fleabag writer and actress was pictured on a night out with Jennifer Lawrence, Amy Schumer and David Byrne in a photo shared to the comic’s Instagram account on Thursday.

Oscar-winner Lawrence, 29, sat with her arms around long-term pal Schumer, 38, and Waller-Bridge, 34, while the Emmy winner sipped on a bottle of Coors Light.

Byrne appeared to photobomb the three women, grinning in the background of the shot.

The stars joined the Talking Heads musician after a performance of his new Broadway show American Utopia.

Comedian Jerry Seinfeld and TV host Seth Meyers were also in attendance.

Schumer, who is the only one of the women to have a public social media account, shared the picture with the caption “I guess that this must be the place” in a nod to the Talking Heads track of the same name.

When one follower asked whether the trio were working on a new project, Schumer immediately debunked any rumours by revealing that they were “just drinking.”

The photo comes after a candid snap of Waller-Bridge reclining on a sun lounger with a margarita in hand surrounded by Emmys went viral back in September.

The Killing Eve writer recently opened up about her involvement in the forthcoming James Bond movie No Time To Die, after it was confirmed that she had been hired to work on the script.

She told the BBC that she had “just tweaked” a few things to add some “little spices” and said that the producers had already started to change the culture of the films, which have previously come under fire for their treatment of women.

“They’re having that conversation with themselves the whole time,” she told the broadcaster.

“[My involvement] was much more practical. Just ‘You’re a writer, we need some help with these scenes.’ And you come up with some dialogue for these characters.

“They were just looking for tweaks across a few of the characters and a few of the storylines.”

Waller-Bridge is set to appear at the Southbank Centre in December to discuss her new book Fleabag: The Scriptures.

Alongside the scripts for series one and two of the hit BBC show, the book will also feature new writing and never-before-seen stage directions.

It will be hosted by Deborah Frances-White, the comedian, writer and host of The Guilty Feminist podcast.
