Phillip Schofield shut down the rumours he was feuding with Holly Willoughby.
It’s claimed the telly star was incredibly jealous of his partner’s success including her once-in-a-lifetime stint on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here.
But the presenter, 57, rubbished any claims of envy when he was grilled over any tensions bubbling away between the duo on the set of This Morning.
Instead, the This Morning star declared Holly was the sister he never had as he insisted their friendship was stronger than ever.
Speaking at the launch of Dancing On Ice, Phil told The Mail On Sunday : “Can you imagine a feud between us ever happening? It’s not as if we have to defend anything.
“It’s a shame… We are so open on the show, we are so open online and we go on holiday together. Holly is the sister I never had, we think at the same speed. It’s so organic… it’s a shame.
“Everyone who knows us, I mean, everyone at This Morning was like, ‘What the hell?’ The atmosphere in our studio is so wonderful, there’s such a lovely team. Everyone is lovely.”
Phil drew attention to the fact he and Holly often holiday together with their families as they choose to spend time together while not on set.
They also have a shared penchant for tequila and partying the night away.
Rumours of a rift between Holly and Phil have been stirring for weeks.
Phil is also said to have fallen out with Ruth Langsford as of late.
The presenter has had a number of headline-grabbing feuds with stars from Amanda Holden to Fern Britton.
ITV has dismissed rumours of a “toxic atmosphere” on This Morning as “malicious gossip”, insisting there’s no issue between Phillip and his co-host Holly.
“It’s deeply disappointing and unfair for Phillip to be the target of this sort of malicious gossip,” said a spokeswoman for the broadcaster.
“Phillip is a much respected broadcaster and colleague and this is absolutely not a description of This Morning that we recognise.
“Holly and Phil are great friends both on and off screen and are popular among viewers and colleagues alike.”
