PETER Crouch has revealed his missus Abbey Clancy has stocked up on tinned food and bought protective masks in preparation for the coronavirus.
Ex-Liverpool, Spurs and England ace Crouchy, 39, said they are ready for a doomsday scenario if it strikes.
He said: “Abs prepared recently, in light of recent events. She has bought more tinned food than usual – and that’s not even a joke.
“She texted me just saying, ‘I’ve loaded up, just in case’. She’s bulk-buyed. We are ready. We’ve got most of the stuff you need.
“I don’t know where we’d go, we haven’t got a bunker or anything.
“Yes, we have our own masks. Is that not a normal thing?”
Speaking on his That Peter Crouch Podcast, he added: “I don’t know the ins and outs of it, I don’t know how bad the threat is, but you know, it’s better to be safe than sorry.”
Abbey, 34, not the only celebrity to prepare for the crisis.
Kerry Katona was seen travelling to an airport with a face mask.
Alongside the snap, she wrote: “Taking no risks at the airport ?.”
James Bond bosses have just delayed the release of its new movie until November.
And filming for ITVBe reality show Towie has been cancelled in Tenerife.
The cast have been told to stay at home.
A source said: “Everyone’s talking about it – the castmembers who were due to go have been told it’s not happening now and they’re rethinking plans.
“The last thing anyone would want is for them to be in danger and they’re following travel advice when filming.”
A Towie spokesman said: “No decisions have been made on filming locations for the next series.”
