Pete Doherty has reportedly been arrested for the second time in 48 hours after allegedly getting into an altercation with a teenager in Paris.
The Libertines rocker was said to have been taken into police custody on Sunday over the ‘drunken brawl’.
It came just hours after Pete was released from jail on Saturday following his earlier arrest for allegedly buying cocaine during a 3am drug deal.
According to the Mail Online, Pete was spotted throwing punches at a male teen in the Saint-German-des-Pres district of Paris, France.
Pete’s lawyer, Arash Derambarsh, said the singer went home to take sleeping pills before heading out again in his pyjamas to celebrate his release from police custody.
Derambarsh reportedly said: ‘[Pete wanted to] go and celebrate his liberation in a bar near him. He drank and people made him drink.’
However, he allegedly ‘quickly came to blows’ with the teen and it was the 19-year-old man who filed a police complaint, claiming to have been injured in a ‘drunken brawl’.
An investigating source said: ‘Before being questioned by police, Doherty was put somewhere where he could sober up.’
On Saturday, the 40-year-old singer was reportedly arrested after he was seen reportedly trying to buy cocaine in the street.
A source claimed: ‘The suspect was arrested in the Pigalle district, and was carrying two grams of cocaine.
‘The allegation is that he was involved in an illegal street transaction at the time.
‘He was drunk, and did not comply with the police to begin with, but was eventually taken to a police car.’
A police spokesman in Paris confirmed he was ‘placed in detention’, facing drug-related charges.
Metro.co.uk reached out to Pete’s reps but received no comment.
