Kaia Gerber and Pete Davidson’s romance reportedly has the blessing of her mother Cindy Crawford, with sources saying the iconic supermodel ‘supports’ her daughter’s choice of boyfriend.
Pete, 26, and Kaia, 18, struck up a romance in October and have been smitten and inseparable in equal measure since. Whether they’re ramping up the affection with PDA or having fun squirting the public with water guns, there’s no denying the pair are absolutely head over heels for each other.
The icing on the cake is that Kaia’s mum Cindy has given their relationship her seal of approval despite the eight-year age gap.
A source told Us Weekly: ‘Cindy’s supportive of Kaia and wants her to be happy. Right now she’s happy with Pete Davidson, so Cindy’s trying not to get involved.’
That must be music to Kaia’s ears.
According to the insider: ‘Kaia’s young, so Cindy’s encouraging her to stay focused on her future. Kaia trusts her mum completely and looks to her as a role model.’
Sounds fair.
Those close to Pete and Gaia initially tried to brush off the romance insisting the pair were just friends but their antics over the past few weeks have clearly dispelled that.
Last week, the lovebirds were spotted enjoying a relaxing day by the pool in Miami, Florida and couldn’t keep their hands off each other. Kaia wrapped her arms around the Saturday Night Live comedian before they both leaned in for a kiss.
At one point, they were particularly amorous with each other and stuck their tongues out.
Earlier in the month, Kaia was seen attending the Women’s Guild Cedars-Sinai Annual Luncheon notably wearing a necklace with the letter ‘P’ on it.
Not quite a tattoo in honour of her new man, but a sweet tribute nonetheless.
Later in the week, Kaia was spotted picking up a customised birthday cake to celebrate the comedian turning 26.
It’s Kaia’s first high-profile relationship, but Pete was famously engaged to Ariana Grande last year following a whirlwind romance before going on to briefly date Kate Beckinsale.
