Penny Smith, 61, puts on leggy display in glittery gold dress at Christmas concert

Penny Smith, 61, put on a leggy display when she attended a charity event last night.

The TV and radio personality, who presented GMTV for 17 years until 2010, brought some glitz and glamour to the annual Age UK Love Christmas concert on Thursday evening.

The presenter headed to London’s St Marylebone Parish Church for the festive event and was joined by fellow Age UK ambassadors Len Goodman and Dev Griffin.

Penny dazzled in a glamorous gold mini dress when she posed for pictures in the church ahead of the concert.

Her shimmery number featured long sleeves and a short hemline which put her toned pins on full display.

A pair of co-ordinating gold sandals elongated her legs further and completed her outfit.

Wearing her tresses loose to her shoulders, Penny enhanced her pretty features with elegant evening make-up in complementary golden hues.

Two necklaces added a stylish flair to her ensemble.

At the Age UK concert, TV star Penny posed for a picture with the Chelsea Pensioners Choir, who gave a heartwarming performance on the night.

The charity event aims to raise vital funds for the organisation, which supports older people when they need the most help.

Age UK ambassador and former Strictly Come Dancing head judge Len Goodman, 75, said of the event: “Age UK’s Love Christmas carol concert is a fantastic event. I loved seeing so many people join in to celebrate a wonderful time of year and help support Age UK at the same time.”

He continued: “Loneliness is such a devastating experience and Age UK is doing everything it can to help combat this huge problem.

“With the money raised they will be able to continue providing much-needed support for older people facing later life alone.”

Christmas is often the loneliest time of the year for over 1.5 million older people, with those who have been widowed feeling it the most.

Money raised at Love Christmas supports Age UK’s latest campaign, which helps to fund services such as the Age UK Advice Line, which gives clear, practical guidance and helps people access the support they need.

The Age UK Advice Line is free to call and open every day of the year – including Christmas Day.

Anyone who needs support or is worried about an older relative or friend can get in touch by calling Age UK Advice free of charge on 0800 169 6565, visiting www.ageuk.org.uk or contacting their local Age UK to see what support is available locally.
