Peaky Blinders season 6 release date: Will the new series be released in 2020 or 2021?


An episode in season one also referred to ‘Black Star Day’ which saw the Peaky Blinders betrayed and took down Billy Kimber and his Italian gang.

In season four, episode three was called Blackbird, episode one in season five was named Black Tuesday and episode two was called Black Cat.

In all three of these episodes, Tommy has raised suspicions about a potential traitor within the ranks of the Shelby family.

In season five, Tommy raised his suspicions about his cousin Michael (Finn Cole) and his new wife Gina (Anya Taylor-Joy), who will be returning for the fifth series.

Speaking to Express.co.uk, creator Stephen Knight revealed some details about the upcoming series.

He said: “I’ve always had a pretty clear road map of how this works between World War 1 and World War 2, and it’s flexible in that you can get to the destination quicker or slower.”

He added: “I want it to end with the first air raid siren in Birmingham in the Second World War, so that will be the start of the next chapter in British history. It’s that period.”
