Paul Pogba’s Man Utd career is ‘over’ and Chelsea are keen on Philippe Coutinho

Pogba’s United career ‘over’

Paul Pogba’s second spell as a Manchester United player looks likely to come to an end this summer.

Man Utd manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer recently dismissed speculation that the midfielder could leave at the end of the season, but today the Daily Mail reports that his time at Old Trafford is “over”.

French World Cup winner Pogba returned to Old Trafford from Juventus four years ago in a club-record £89.3m deal and reports suggest that both parties are ready to cut ties.

The Mail says that United are “willing to listen to offers in the region of £100m” for Pogba. The Sun adds that £80m has been “slashed” off his asking price.

In the past 12 months former club Juventus and Spanish giants Real Madrid have regularly been linked with a potential move for the 27-year-old.

Ole ready to make Jude bid

The Daily Star reports that Manchester United are ready to table a £30m bid “to beat off rivals” for the hand of Jude Bellingham.

The 16-year-old wonderkid has been in blistering form for Birmingham City in the Championship this season and the Star says that United are “obsessed with coming out on top in the race for him”.

Apparently Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea and Bayern Munich are also “keen” on the teenage sensation but United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is determined to bring the youngster to Old Trafford.

Barcelona signed Brazil star Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool in January 2018

Chelsea keen on Coutinho

Spanish newspapers Sport and AS both report that Barcelona playmaker Philippe Coutinho could return to the Premier League.

The Brazilian formerly played at Liverpool before making a £142m move to Barcelona in January 2018. However, he struggled to impress at the Camp Nou and is currently on loan at German giants Bayern Munich.

Metro says that Chelsea have already contacted Coutinho’s representatives and have held talks with Barcelona over a loan deal.

It’s believed that the player would like a return to the Premier League but Chelsea could face competition from his former club Inter Milan.
