Paul Pogba will be offered an enormous salary to join Paris Saint-Germain next summer, if he is willing to run down the final year of his contract at Manchester United and leave on a free transfer.

The Frenchman was in superb form on the opening day of the Premier League season, laying on four assists in Manchester United’s 5-1 win over Leeds United at Old Trafford.

He is clearly an important part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team, but his future has been uncertain for some time, with less than a year left on his contract and regular talk of a move away fuelled by his agent Mino Raiola.

A new deal at Old Trafford does not seem at all imminent, and Pogba will be presented with the chance to sign a huge contract at PSG if he doesn’t extend his stay in Manchester.

The Independent report that PSG are ready to offer him a weekly wage of €600,000 (£510,000) if he joins them on a free transfer in the summer of 2022.

The Ligue 1 giant were expected to bid for Pogba this summer but instead brought in Lionel Messi from Barcelona so will have to wait another year and they hope he is willing to do so too.

Messi has signed a two-year deal in Paris, so Pogba will have the temptation of linking up with the Argentinian superstar, along with the likes of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe in what already looks like a team that will be difficult to stop.

However, PSG will have competition to snap up the midfielder on a free transfer, with Real Madrid also interested in doing just that and Pogba reportedly very keen on a move to the Spanish capital.
