Wantaway Manchester United star Paul Pogba is ready to snub the club’s pre-season tour which sets off for Australia on Sunday.

Pogba, 26, is yet to return from his holiday in New York after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer granted the midfielder an extra week off due to him playing three matches for France last month.

Mino Raiola, Pogba’s agent, claimed earlier this weekend that the World Cup-winner is ‘in the process’ of leaving United, with Real Madrid and Juventus both interested.

The Red Devils are increasingly resigned to losing Pogba this summer and it appears unlikely that he will have any part to play in their pre-season plans.

United are open to listening to offers of around £150million for Pogba, with Newcastle’s Sean Longstaff and Sporting Lisbon’s Bruno Fernandes being eyed as replacements.

According to L’Equipe, Pogba and his team have been seriously considering snubbing United’s trip to Australia.

United take on Perth Glory at Optus Stadium on July 13 before playing Leeds United at the same ground the following Wednesday.

Solskjaer’s side then face Inter Milan (Singapore), Tottenham (Shanghai), Kristiansund (Oslo) and AC Milan (Cardiff) before they kick off their Premier League campaign at home to Chelsea.

Raiola insists that Pogba has made his wishes known to United this summer.

‘Everyone within the club from the manager to the owner knows Paul’s wishes,’ Raiola told The Times.

‘Everyone knows the willingness of Paul to move on. We are in the process of that.’

Asked whether Pogba would be part of United’s pre-season tour, Raiola replied: ‘I cannot tell you anything. I live day by day.’

Solskjaer has been impressed with Daniel James after United’s new signing took part in training for the first time at Carrington this week.

They’ve [the new players] been great when I’ve spoken to them,’ the Norwegian said.

‘It’s about them also coming in, being themselves and showing that they’re here to take the places of the other players, which makes a competition for places, which will then spur their team-mates, to be fair, to push their game.

‘Obviously, Aaron has not joined us yet but Daniel has already set the marker and the standard on work-rate and attitude in training.

‘Whoever you’re going to speak to later on, if you ask about him then it’s been a delight to see.’
