Paul McCartney set to headline Glastonbury 2020

After a year hiatus, Glastonbury festival is back for 2019 and the line-up is better than ever.

Acts already confirmed to grace the celebrated UK festival include Stormzy, The Cure and The Killers.

However founder Michael Eavis was more concerned about Glastonbury 2020, as he let slip one of the headliners in a recent interview.

Glastonbury 2020 will mark the 50th anniversary of the festival, and Michael has big plans to celebrate the milestone.

In a conversation with BBC Somerset, Michael revealed a certain Beatles member will grace the stage.

The Yellow Submarine hitmaker was rumoured to be headlining the festival at Worthy Farm in 2019, but has since been given a slot for the much anticipated 2020 festival.

In a chat with the radio station, Michael said: “Paul’s on good form at the moment.”

Asked “coming here?’ he replied: “Hopefully for the 50th.

”Don’t make a big thing of it though, will you?”

The blunder comes after Michael’s daughter Emily Eavis, who also helps organises the annual event, spilled that two of the biggest names in music have been booked to headline in 2020.

Emily hinted “Pink Floyd will not be playing”, but the line-up will feature “old and new acts.”

According to The Glastonbury Festival website, tickets for the 2019 festival sold out in a record breaking 38 minutes.

No doubt with Paul McCartney on the bill for Glastonbury 2020, tickets will be snapped up in no time.
