Paris Hilton is set to open up about trauma she faced during her childhood in a YouTube Originals series.

The star will reveal a new side of herself in the upcoming documentary, This Is Paris.

While the series was announced earlier this year, she’s kept tight-lipped about what she’s set to discuss.

In a clip obtained by PEOPLE, Paris prepares to speak openly about the mental abuse she suffered when she attended boarding school.

‘I’m nervous,’ she said. ‘I’m shaking. It’s hard to even eat, because my stomach is just like, turning. I don’t know — it’s something that’s very personal, and not something I like talking about.’

The 39-year-old added: ‘No one really knows who I am. Something happened in my childhood that I’ve never talked about with anyone. I still have nightmares about it.’

Paris’ sister Nicky Rothschild Hilton and their mother Kathy Hilton are also set to appear in the documentary, which is being directed by Alexandra Dean and will premiere on 14 September.

The star is no stranger to opening up about her life on YouTube, creating her own YouTube channel way back in 2006 and appearing on the likes of James Charles’ Instant Influencer series.

However, it seems the new documentary will show a whole new side to the star.

Paris is known for being the granddaughter of Barron Hilton, the former CEO of the Hilton Hotels chain.

Barron sadly died last year, with Paris paying tribute with a sweet message on Instagram.

Taking to Twitter at the time, she shared a string of photos of herself and the mogul.

‘I am deeply saddened by the loss of my grandfather Barron Hilton,’ she said. ‘He was a legend, a visionary, brilliant, handsome, kind, and lived a life full of accomplishment and adventure.

‘Ever since I was a little girl I have looked up to him as a businessman.’ In another tweet, the star later said she felt ‘so grateful’ to have had him as a mentor.

She added: ‘I feel so grateful to have had such an incredible mentor. I always wanted to make him proud.

‘The last conversation we had a few days ago, I told him how much of an impact he had on my life. His spirit, heart and legacy will live on in me.’

This Is Paris begins on 14 September on Paris’ YouTube channel.
