Parimatch and StarLadder Launch $100K Parimatch League CS:GO

Parimatch in conjunction with StarLadder announced that they have launched the Parimatch League CS:GO, a new online league competing in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. The league features a $100K USD prize pool and will see eight teams each from Europe and the Confederation of Independent States (CIS) compete for the league championship.

“Now is the time to focus our resources on online events. We have been looking for the opportunity to cooperate with StarLadder in the CS:GO discipline,” commented Stepan Shulga, head of esports at Parimatch. “I’m sure that spectators who are forced to stay home and thus help to positively resolve the situation in the world will be satisfied with our tournament.”

The league will be divided into three phases where some teams will have to fight their way through group qualifiers to get through to the group stage which features a double eliminations bracket. The finals will see four teams from each region, who then play in an eight-team double-elimination bracket to determine a champion.

The open qualifiers are set to take place from April 4-5 with the group stage following from April 13-26 followed by the championship finals May 1-3.

Virtus.pro, Team Spirit, and forZe have confirmed their participation, according to a release, with more to be announced at a later date.
