As a technological alternative to a classic Elf on a Shelf, this battery-powered toy features a red flashing light to give the impression it’s recording any misbehaviour.

However, the genius dummy camera doesn’t actually spy on your kids – but as long as they’re behaving themselves in the run-up to Christmas, they don’t need to know that. Right?

Proving that this toy is something worth picking up before December hits, one mum claimed it was “good for older kids” in an Amazon review.
