Parents love mum's idea to ensure her little boy behaves during weekly shop

The weekly shop can be stressful enough before you factor in having a little one in tow.

One mum who said her son can be a ‘royal pain in the butt’ during the weekly trip came up with a brilliant idea to keep him busy on the way round.

Amanda shared her tip to parenting Facebook group The Motherload, complete with photos, where others hailed her idea ‘genius’.

She wrote: “My little dude is usually a royal pain in the butt when we go shopping, running off, shouting, just generally faffing about.

“So now I’ve made him the ‘Shopping Officer’ after the nursery told me that he enjoys being the Safety Officer there.

Others have already said they are stealing the idea

“He was good as gold with his little hi vis and clipboard.”

Amanda included pictures of him holding the clipboard, showing images of the items they needed to buy, which were simply held in place on the page using Blu Tack.

Below she had printed a picture of a shopping trolley, leaving her well-behaved little boy to move each item down into the trolley as they picked them up to ensure they ticked everything off the list.

She revealed it was easy to make using Word and images from the internet, which she cut out and laminated so they can be reused with each visit, as reported by The Sun.
