Paddy McGuinness firmly believes variety is the spice of life when it comes to finding love on Take Me Out.

The 46-year-old comedian and host of the hit-dating TV show said his one demand is that producers feature an ‘eclectic mix’ of contestants with real-life body shapes.

‘My only note is that we have to have an eclectic mix of people,’ he explained.

‘It’s pointless having four male models and 30 female models behind the podiums, because life’s not like that.

‘Everyday life is about different people from different walks of life, all different shapes and sizes and different interests.’

The ITV presenter also revealed his clever one-liners are never repeated on the show.

While introducing eligible bachelors, he’s known for epic quips such as ‘let the onion see the bhaji’ and ‘let the pina see the colada’.

‘Every single phrase we’ve ever said we have stored on a laptop, as we never repeat them, ‘ he revealed to PA.

He also explained a lot of the phrases in the upcoming eleventh series of the show are themed for each episode, like cheesy pop.

It includes phrases like ‘let the cheeky see the girls’ and ‘let the Venga see the boys’.

Paddy sent the internet into meltdown recently when he accidentally shared a picture of his bum on social media.

He explained on Instagram: ‘When you don’t realise the camera is still recording after Shower News. Behind the scenes…literally!!!’

Paddy’s married to Real Housewives of Cheshire star Christine McGuinness and the couple share three children, five-year-old twins Penelope and Leo and Felicity, two.

The couple recently enjoyed their first holiday together in six years, taking their kids abroad for the first time.

Take Me Out is currently due to return at the end of October.
