The last season sees Wendy Byrde (played by Laura Linney) travel back to the old family home in Chicago, where they lived before heading to the Missouri Ozarks for her husband’s money laundering business.

Here, as she reflects on how far she’s come, she’s seen breaking into the property before readjusting a portrait on the wall.

One fan explained the link to an obscure scene from the very first season.

The Reddit user wrote: “In season one episode eight, which is a flashback episode, Wendy is on the porch at the Chicago house with Marty.

“Out of nowhere, she mentions that she used to break into houses as a kid and take nothing but a beer or two.”

In that episode, Wendy says to her husband Marty (Jason Bateman):  “I just didn’t belong [at home]. And so I’d act out a little bit.

“I’d move picture frames around, I’d turn toothbrushes upside down, I’d put blue food colouring in the milk.

“And for some reason lately, that’s how I’ve been feeling. Like a fraud.”

The parallel gave thought to consider whether Wendy, despite how much she’s grown as a character, still feels like ”a fraud’ in her own home.

After watching the gripping season three finale, fans have been raving that Ozark is ‘better than Breaking Bad’.
