OverActive Media Names Jason Toledano as CFO


  • Splyce and Toronto Defiant parent company OverActive Media has added Jason Toledano as its chief financial officer.
  • Toledano’s past experience includes roles at food, retail, and telecom companies, including Loblaw Group, Weston Foods, and Bell Aliant.
  • OverActive Media also recently acquired a franchise slot in Activision Blizzard’s upcoming geolocated Call of Duty league, giving it a stake in three major franchised leagues.

OverActive Media Database-Link-e1521645463907 (OAM), the parent company of Splyce Database-Link-e1521645463907 and the Overwatch League’s Database-Link-e1521645463907 Toronto Defiant, has hired Jason Toledano as its chief financial officer.

Toledano has been a board member and the audio committee chairman for OAM since June 2018, according to his LinkedIn page. Prior to taking on the company’s CFO role, he served as the interim CFO for IDC Worldsource Insurance Network Inc. and Worldsource Financial Management. Toledano was previously the CFO for Weston Foods, a $2B CAD ($1.49B USD) business, from 2014-2017.

Before that, Toledano was with Canadian pharmacy retail chain Loblaw Group from 2010-2014, where he served as senior vice president of audit and risk management and later the senior vice president of store support integration. In the latter role, he helped lead the integration of Shoppers Drug Mart, which Loblaw acquired for $12.4B CAD ($9.2B USD) in 2013. He also has experience working for telecom Bell Aliant Inc. and financial consulting firm Deloitte.

OverActive Media recently secured a franchise spot in Activision Blizzard’s Database-Link-e1521645463907 upcoming geolocated Call of Duty Database-Link-e1521645463907 league, making it the only organization with three major franchise spots: that league, the Overwatch League, and the League of Legends European Championship (LEC). Splyce, meanwhile, currently competes in games such as Rocket League Database-Link-e1521645463907, Call of Duty, and StarCraft II Database-Link-e1521645463907.
