A second fan expanded on the point: “That’s what I’m thinking too! Personally, I don’t see how anyone could think they looked too old last season unless you care solely on their appearance and aren’t paying attention to actual plot points and storylines…
“I mean, Jamie would be in his 50s and at least 20 years older than Roger BUT THEY LOOK THE SAME AGE?!?”
Not everyone was keen to dissect the error however, with one fan jumping to the show’s defence on Instagram: “The Outlander crew just can’t win! Last season people complained that they looked too old and that Claire had too much grey in her hair. I know that I’m looking forward to seeing season 5 either way.”
